I made an order on Tigerdirect about a week ago. A day after I made the order, I got an email saying I needed to call them to verify my identity before they would ship out the package. ??? I call them and a woman just asks me some questions about previous addresses (why does TD need this information? no other online retailer asks for this). I order a product (a television) through TigerDirect by telephone. I spoke to a live person. I paid $93 for next day delivery. They took the $93 and shipped by UPS Ground! Tiger direct bought p.c. was watching ad t.v. thought great sure looks good come find out week later u.p.s. delivered product wrong address as i began working with product fine month later primter would not print received errror messages slow computer, nothing make discs from was not too happy psid over $1000 make u think your getting good deal software basic computer with no tech support above... Same thing happened to me - placed an order for a laptop, got an email saying it is on hold pending my calling the "Verification Department". Verification was rude and hung up on me. Twice! I placed an order on Saturday. I checked both shipping and mailing address. Today I got an email saying that my order is on hold. When I called, I met with a very rude 'verifier' and an equally rude 'supervisor.' I wonder if she is a supervisor or just another line staff pretending to be a supervisor. I called tigerdirect to inquire about a priority code that was emailed to me stating to call + reference the code and received the run around from many Reps and a whole lot of ignorance from their Manager, Dave.
