Consumer's Original Complaint :
I have 2 accounts with Tiger Direct, one with Tiger Direct and one with Tiger Direct Preferred. The Preferred was closed with bankruptcy. Under stress with the Bankruptcy, I mistakenly sent money to Tiger Direct instead of the medical agencies that were the intended recipients. $150 on 9-16 and $50 on 10-21-11. When looking at my bank statement, I realized what I had done. So I immediately called Tiger direct and they said they would look it up and call me. This was around the first of November". I waited and waited, finally emailing them and they said it had been processed and I should wait 5-10 days for it to clear/. I did that and emailed them again, this time getting the response that it could be a little longer!. Wait 14-21 days'. This kept up until now/. Then I started looking around and found out they had transferred the money to the Preferred account, which was very illegal (you cannot move money from another account to pay off the discharged account/. They did this by transferring the money as a credit, like I had returned a product". They are still stringing me along and I am tired of dishonest merchants taking me for a ride/. I want the full refund, I probably should charge interest for all the time they have held on to the money....goodness knows they would do that to me. 129b29f

I reported it to Pissed Consumer, BBB Online, and Twitter and bugged them every few days and Finally! I received a check for $200 yesterday!! Thanks for help. |

Tiger Direct still playing games, so I talked to a lawyer and she gave me several things I can do as what they are doing is VERY illegal. They did move the money out of the preferred account, but I have no idea what they did with it. Will let you know how it turns out when I do the things the lawyer suggested.  |
