I just ordered a particular Nvidia video card from Tiger Direct because I was unable to find this model anywhere else. The web site advertises a $15 mail in rebate. After ordering I went to the Rebate Center and attempted to fill out the claim form. After several attempts I got the following error message:
Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request.
I sent an e mail to customer service and received a reply which completely ignored my complaint. I was advised to go to Rebate Center and enter my order number (which is what I had already done). When I tried it again I got the response "No record."
If you want to order from Tiger Direct, you would do well to ignore the rebate offers.
